A WARM WELCOME BACK TO THE BBC SCOTTISH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

It is now some year ago that Christoph König’s intense relationship with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra culminated in a highly successful Tour to China, and it is this week that he returns to conduct this truly wonderful and committed Orchestra in a programme partially dedicated to the birthday celebrant Richard Strauss (150 years), with excerpts from his “Aus Italien”, and his Oboe Concerto featuring the unbelievably gifted François Leleux . In the second half one of König’s signature pieces: Antonín Dvořák – Symphony No. 5.
