After having successfully stepped in for ailing Maestro Frühbeck de Burgos in 2011, this week is the third time that Christoph König conducts the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a programme featuring the unknown Respighi Belfagor Overture, and the well-known Beethoven Sixth Symphony. Tim Fain is going to play Philip Glass’ Second Violin Concerto, also known as “The American Four Seasons”, one of the finest compositions of this composer.
