RETURN VISIT TO THE OREGON SYMPHONY

It is with great pleasure that Christoph König returns to conduct the fabulous Oregon Symphony Orchestra this week in a programme dedicated to some of the iconic pieces in repertoire such as Beethoven’s world famous Symphony no. 5, and Rachmaninov’s lesser known Isle of Dead. Stefan Jackiw , one of the most interesting and inspiring violinists of the young generation, is going to play Lutosławski’s Partita for Violin and Orchestra, and Dvořák’s Romance, refreshing alternatives to the mainstream violin repertoire.
