RETURN VISIT TO THE PITTSBURGH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA

Finally, Christoph König returns to Pittsburgh to conduct the magnificent Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra in a programme of Haydn Symphony No. 22 “The philosoper”, Richard Danielpour Darkness in the Ancient Valley, a PSO Co-Commission, and Strauss Also sprach Zarathustra. The second of the three concerts on Saturday will offer a new format to the public as Christoph König will be introducing the music of Strauss Zarathustra in the first half of the concert to the public by showing and explaining passages of the work with the orchestra and at the piano.
