It is for the first time that Christoph König performs with his Orquestra Sinfonica do Porto Casa da Musica Dmitri Shostakovich’s immense and almost monstrous masterpiece, often neglected simply because of it’s sheer dimensions both artistic and orchestral. Not many institutions can and would undertake such an enterprise, and the response of the public was overwhelming.
