Ein ganzes Wagner-Programm, positive Reaktionen von Publikum und Presse – A programme entirely dedicated to Richard Wagner was very well received by public and press:

Spannung und lustvolles Musizieren waren also angesagt.

Under the direction of Christoph König, the extremely engaged and dynamic „Solistes Européens Luxembourg“ played with brio, vitality and sonority.

Astonishing the poise with which the „Solistes Européens“ dedicate themselves to Wagner … König preferred rather quicker tempi, to the best advantage of the Meistersinger prelude. The sound picture was svelte, free of „frills“, and transparent, one was able to enjoy the huge amount of details in the score.

Similarly, the SEL rendered the Overture to the „Flying Dutchman“ exquisitely, and Christoph König proved once again what an exceptionally gifted musical advocate he is. Suspense and lush music making where the word of the day.
