CHRISTOPH KÖNIG IS MAKING HIS DÉBUT WITH THE CINCINNATI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA THIS WEEK in a programme featuring the wonderful Colin Currie as soloist in the famous MacMillan Percussion Concerto. The concert will be opened by a signature piece of Christoph König’s: Weber’s Freischütz Ouverture – which relates to his roots in Dresden. In the second half: the relatively unfamiliar but unbelievably creative Antonín Dvořák Symphony No. 5.
