This week Christoph König returns to conduct the Beethoven Orchester Bonn for the first time after his association with the Orchestra/Oper Bonn some year ago as Erster Kapellmeister, an important period at the beginning of his artistic development. The programme is part of the Mendelssohn Cycle of the Orchestra and features the famous Octet (in the version for string orchestra) which Mendelssohn wrote as a 17 years old teenager, Jaques Ibert’s Divertissement, and the whole Midsummer Night’s Dream with Narrator/Actor, Chorus and Soloists.
